Recent studies have examined the long-term negative health impact of sustained stress and anxiety in childhood and this has included the impact of having a disability. What do we know about the psychological wellbeing and psychosocial satisfaction of children who are visually impaired? This session provides a summary of evidence-based research and strategies focusing on adolescents to support positive self-esteem in our students, a key factor in psychological well-being.
