Employment Skills for Youth

Many important employment skills are learned as children. Self-advocacy, problem-solving, and flexibility are critical for job readiness. Unfortunately, many children with disabilities miss out on incidental learning opportunities. Educators can help students succeed by setting realistic goals and having high expectations. This workshop will explore the soft skills needed for successful employment and provide resources for teaching them to students who are blind and visually impaired at all ages.

This session was originally created on August 13, 2020 by Cindy Camp.
