Training
and supporting qualified personnel about best practices in educating students
who are deaf-blind (DB) has historically been difficult. The National Center on
Deaf-Blindness (NCDB) offers resources that will be shared in this session,
including a discussion guide for IEP teams to consider interveners and training
materials for qualified personnel.
Learning Objectives
- Participants will identify the service delivery model for interveners and teachers of students with deaf-blindness that would best meet the needs in their state.
- Participants will identify opportunities in their work that would lead to collaboration with the Deaf-Blind TA Network.
- Participants will have resources that they can use in their work with their districts.
