This session will present results of a comprehensive systematic review of studies focused on deafblindness. Intervention studies across skill areas were evaluated for method and evidence in support of practices based on the What Works Clearinghouse and Horner et al. (2005) criteria. Results indicate a need for intervention studies conducted with high levels of rigor. At this time, there is limited empirical evidence to guide practice with this population.

- Participants will be able to describe the level of evidence for instructional practices with children with deafblindness based on the existing body of literature.
- Participants will increase their understanding of single case design study quality indicators for purposes of evaluation and design of study methods, including common methodological and procedural strengths and weaknesses.
- Participants will be able to describe research needs and gaps in the field of deafblindness.
